Project Africa is just six days away. Needless to say, I'm beyond excited. I am sad to be leaving Greg and Eloise for a little over two weeks. It seems so long ago that I found out about this trip. My name was chosen in a drawing - how often does that happen?! I'm still waiting for HR to call and say it's all a mistake.
I've got long lists of things to pack and an equally long list of what not to pack. I've been stuck by a needle seven times. I've shopped for skirts of the proper length, ugly floppy hats, sunscreen to protect a very pale complexion despite being half-Chinese (what happened??!!) and the strongest bug repellent available to kill mosquitos, ticks, flies, no see-ums and any other menacing insect-like creature. I've even sent myself a reminder to start my malaria pills on Tuesday.
What else could a girl do to prepare for a trip to Africa?
