today is the day

The day is finally here. I'm sitting on my suitcase trying to get it closed and the zipper is stuck. Rats! I'm a little more nervous than I thought I would be. I'm so excited to go, but sad to leave Eloise, Greg and Rufus for so long.

My work "to do" list is still running through my head converging with the "did I forget to pack..." list combined with thoughts of Eloise as she waved goodbye to me at daycare this morning.

I know it will all seem far away very soon, but until then...

  1. Tana--my thoughts will be with you all day! Remember, when you get tired of travel, we went fo more than TWENTY HOURS when we flew to Mozambique (followed by five hours in a jeep!). I hope you travel safely and have an amazing adventure! I will look forward to catching any updates you can share.

  3. Okay I realize it's Africa and all but watching Grey's last night wasn't the same. How can you leave Grey's? Weezie's young but I'm not. Izzy is dying. :)
